Transfered Points

Hi

I am hoping to have some points transfered for our DVC July 2010 trip but my home resort is AKV and there doesn't seem to be very many about for this resort at the moment. So my question is, do points transfered to you have to be your home resort to use the 11 month window or can you use transfered points for any resort. I am sure there have been previous threads and posts but i can't seem to find any info.

Transferred points retain their original resort designation. Member Services now tracks this. A few years ago transferred points, contrary to the rules, morphed to match your home resort. That glitch has been fixed.

Otherwise, what would stop someone with a 25 point contract from transferring in 300 points every year, nudging out people who really do own more points at that resort.

Home resort points are home resort points. If you want to book at 11 months, all points must be AKV points. Remember the transfered points also retain their UY.

I thought that was how it worked, will have to keep my fingers crossed someone out there ends up with some spare points lol

You can post over on rent/trade board that you are a member seeking a transfer of AKV points.
