Transfered points question

Can transferred points be banked? If so, are they banked according to my use year, or the persons use year who transferred the points? Also, do transferred points carry over their home resort for booking at the 11 month window?

Transferred vacation points retain the Use Year and Home Resort Priority of the Membership they were transferred from. All transferred points expire at the end of the transferring member’s Use Year. All transfer transactions are final and irreversible.

Transferred points can be banked; however, banked or borrowed vacation points may not be transferred.

I'm trying to help my brother get a ressie at SSR in Oct 2008, but I am out of points. I was thinking of doing a points transfer with another member and then making the ressie in my brother's name. So if I do a transfer with another member whose UY begins in June and my brother decides in July or August he can't go can I bank those transferred points and use them by June of 09? Is that right (assuming I didn't acquire transferred points that were already banked)? Is there an FAQ on transferred points someplace? It seems a bit confusing. I'm a member at BWV with a UY of Feb.

Banked points can not be transferred. Transferred points CAN be banked..

I've never transferred oints, but they are supposed to retain their original resort and use year month, so watch your banking windows.
