We are a party of 2 and we have our first 2 nights accommodation booked at the Tropicana and then we hope to move to a DVC villa at the Disneyland Hotel. I am trying to work out the best way to transfer between the two hotels as we will have 2 large suitcases and 2 small carry on suitcases. I know it is a quick easy walk through Downtown Disney but that would mean we would have to go through security with our luggage which I doubt would work or would be allowed. We could catch a taxi but I feel silly doing that as it is such a short trip and would hardly be worth the taxi drivers time or effort. We could walk all the way around but it looks like it is a fairly long walk. Anyone got any ideas or done this before. Thanks

We've done the same thing, starting at the Tropicana and then moving to one of the DLR hotels.
Don't even consider going through DTD. We had no problem getting a taxi to take us around the block.

Thanks for that. I always feel so bad for the driver when I book such a short fare like this but I guess I can give them a decent tip and that will make up for it. Thanks for your take on things.

Remember that Uber and Lyft drivers get to choose what they want to take. So when they take you, they already know and have accepted it's a short ride. If they don't want to do a short drive, then they wouldn't take it :)

This is actually not true. A driver doesn’t see the destination until after they accept the ride.

That’s why sometimes you’ll get a notice that the driver cancelled the ride a few moments after you see the notification that your ride is on the way.
