I think I read here awhile back that it is possible to transfer SWA credits from one person to another? My situation is that I am buying a ticket for my son but there is a chance he won't be using that flight. Can I then cancel the flight in his name and get the credit for my daughter to use for a flight in about 8 months?

Thanks for any info you have.

SW credits are totally transferrable, so you, you can do that. You will just need to watch the expiration dates of the credits.

The ticketless travel funds aren't in the passengers name, but rather attached to the confirmation number of the reservation. So when you make your daughter's reservations for later, you simply apply ticketless travel funds by putting in the old confirmation number for the new reservation. Make sense?

I had some unused credits and applied them to the tickets we bought for my nieces to come and visit us. They are assigned to the confirmation number, so you can use them for anyone. One thing to keep in mind is that the credits expire one year from the date you originally purchased the ticket, not a year from the travel date or a year from when the flight was cancelled.

Did you mean Rapid Reward credits? I didn't think it was possible to t'fer those from one acct to another, but would like to know if I am wrong, please. That would be great.
