Transfer questions (NOT related to the "new" rule)

Hi- I have a Oct use year at VWL. I'll be getting 150 new points 10/06. Can I transfer these new points to a member now or must I wait until Dec?

Additionally, since these points expire 10/07, can the transferred "to" member subsequently bank my 150 points so he could make a Christmas ressie for 12/25/07?

Normally, MS would allow you to transfer your 2006 points into another member's 2006 contract and I've seen nothing to suggest that is any different at this time. MS has also allowed transferred points to be banked- so you should be able to do what you are asking.

Please let us know is MS has any deviation from this when you call.

Here's a variation of that question. My UY is October. Can I accept a transfer of someone else's 2006 UY points now into my 2006 UY before the year starts October 1?

Yes, you should be able to do that too. I don't think MS would allow you to accept 2005 Use Year points into your 2006 UY (or vice versa).

UPDATE-I just completed this transaction-transferred my 10/06 pts into another member's 10/06 UY. No problems from MS-took about 2 minutes.
