Transfer question?

I'd like to buy points and have them transfered into my MIL's account, to save the frustration of having a middle man do reservations...

what penalties if any are there with point transfers from one member to another member. Do they have to be used by certain time, etc... Is it legal for DVC'rs to do this or does disney frown on this activity...?

Do you mean you are going to rent some points and then have them transfered? If yes, that is perfectly okay. You just need to find a member who has points that can be transfered. There are no penalties but they do have to be used by the end of their normal use year (but can be banked).
