This may sound dumb, but I am trying to start transferring to my shirts and I am wondering what hard surface I should use? I don't have granite countertops, so I know I can't use my countertop space. Where do you iron on your images? Thanks!

I have cheesy old formica, and that did just fine. I put an old pillowcase folded in half underneath and had no problems. I also have a wooden cutting board that is the perfect size and I wrapped the tablecloth around it to use when doing a design on the back (to prevent ruining the front design). What are your countertops made of? Is it heat resistant?

I use the computer table top...even my dresser...whatever is close when I am ready to iron..I have even used my ironing board....

DH uses our ironing board every time....it works fine. :thumbsup2

Be careful if you ironing board is not hard...

I use my wood desk with just one or two pillowcases and it works perfectly!
