Transfer points

If I book a reservation after the 7 month mark. Can I get a transfer of say SSR points and then call to have them use those new SSR points and then I can have back my original points?

Not unless you booked the reservation with SSR points,

Points don’t ever change and can’t be used to cover other resorts booked during home resort period

So, if what you booked was at a different resort, then SSR points can not be used.

It would defeat the whole purpose of points having a home resort priority

I’m sorry let me be more clear. The resort was NOT booked during home resort 11 month period. It was booked after that - 6 months and 25 days or so. I used VGC to book BCV but I have a friend who wants to go to VGC and so if I can rent someone else’s points and move around which points where used then I can use my VGC points to book his fall trip.

Since you booked at the 7 month date (or after) you can reallocate points within the same membership. So you can get a transfer from another resort and then reallocate the points to that reservation thus freeing up your VGC points.
