Transfer of points?

With the new covid-19 borrowing rules, I I borrow 50% of my points can I still transfer any to another member?

I have not heard of any changes to transfer rules. Since once transferred they can’t be borrowed, I don’t see why the borrowing rule would impact it,

Thank you for the quick response. Just to make myself a little clearer. If I have 100 points in my 2022 Use Year and borrow 50 of them for a 2021 trip, can I then transfer the remaining 50 2022 points to another member to use in 2021? TIA

Those 2022 UY points would not change use so they would only be good for trips during the 2022 UY of the points or banked for use in the 2923 UY of the points,

Now, depending on the UY of the person who gets them, they may be good for travel during someones 2021 UY, but the points themselves can’t change use dates.

You didn’t mention UY, but for example, if you had a June UY and transferred 2022 UY points to me into my Dec UY, they would be good from June 1st, 2022 to May 31st, 2023: unless the person banks Them,

However, I could use them during my 2021 Dec UY, as long as my trip was from June 1st to November 30th,

I could also use them for trips in my 2022 UY...Dec 1st to May 31st.

Basically, whoever gets the points just needs to have a trip during the time the points are valid for use.

Right, points can't be borrowed for use in a reservation that starts earlier than the start date of the UY of the transferred points. While you can't borrow from transferred points, you can bank transferred points if done before 4 months of it expiring.

Also, since right now is July 2020, you can only transfer current UY (so either 2020 or 2021 UY points) if you have June or earlier UY. You cannot transfer 2022 UY points until your 2021 UY starts. So, you can only transfer 2022 UY points to another member during 2021 UY for use in 2022 UY.

This, those with Aug. and later UYs are currently in their 2019 UY, their 2020 UY hasn't even started (so that mean than can currently only transfer out 2019 or 2020 UY points). And those with Aug. UY or later currently today (July 19th, 2020) can only receive points into their 2019 or 2020 UYs. So, if you are currently in your 2020 UY, and the receiver is currently in their 2019 UY, the only points you can transfer in this case is 2020 UY points. You must wait until the receiver starts their 2020 UY before you can even transfer them your 2021 UY points.

Public Offering Statement (POS) doesn't permit payment for transferring points.

Thanks for this intel - I thought you could transfer any points before they expired.
