Tranferring VS Gifting

If we want to give 100 or so points to another family (not DVC owners) to take a short vacation, that is not considered a transfer is it? Or is it?

How does this work?

It is not a transfer, you would simply make the reservation, just as you normally would, only put them on the reservation instead of you. You still have control of the reservation, they can not call member services for anything. Basically, it is a "free rental."

A transfer would be if you put points in someone else's DVC account.
