Tranferred points and 11mo Reservation

Need to understand how transferred points can be used to make a 11 month out reservation at your home resort. I am assumming the transferred points must come from the same home resort? Does use year make a difference?

Transferred points retain their original home and use year. You'll need to have some that will work for your trip.

That's the way it's supposed to work but it doesn't. DVC simply can't track them at this time and they generally assume the attributes of the contract they are transferred in to. You should talk to MS to be sure exactly what they will commit to.

In theory, the answer is absolutely yes you could get points from BCV to be used for a BCV reservation at the 11 month mark even though you are a BWV owner. That is the way that it is supposed to work, but follow the advice in Dean's post as there are differences in how it has actually worked in practice.
