Tranfer Question

Hi,

Still not a member yet, but waiting to see if my TTS offer comes through.
I have noticed members asking for point transfers. Does this strictly mean
transfering points for different use times or transfering points for points in different resorts? In other words, if I transferred my points in VB to someone with points in VWL could we each use the others 11 month window for reservations? Or maybe I make their reservation and they make mine?

You can transfer points for the resort you have to another person who can use them for that same resort. However, you cannot do exactly what you mention. The rule is that you can transfer points out as many times as you want in any use year OR receive a transfer into your account as many times as you want in any given use year, but you cannot both transfer in and transfer out in the same use year. Thus trying to exchange your points for his via a dual transfer is not allowed in the same use year. However, transfer rules apply only to actually transfering points. Nothing prevents someone from transfering points to another and in return that other uses his home resort points to call and make a reservation and put it in your name -- there is no official transfer of points when one makes a ressie using his own points but puts the ressie in another's name. Thus, the dual transfer question you ask is answered no, but the using your own points to reserve in each other's name is answered yes.
