Has anyone ever done dlp this way? We were thinking sleeper from Aberdeen then direct train to dlp from London. Just wondered if anyone has done it this way? We have always driven but just fancied a change next time and we don't like flying.

I'm doing the train from Edinburgh to London then Eurostar to DLP - but I've got an overnight stay with friends in London in between. I'm not keen on flying either but it seemed too long a journey in one go..

I can't offer any advice but I can recommend this website for planning rail journeys http://www.seat61.com I've used it for travel within Europe and found it very helpful.
Hope you have a great trip :goodvibes

We do it from Inverness and then it's an easy 10 minute walk along Euston Road for the Eurostar. The direct times don't fit in so well for the return trip as there is just over an hour between arrival and departure. It is probably doable but a bit tight, we normally add on a day in London or if you took an indirect eurostar home, then you could catch that days sleeper no problem.
