Trail's End to HS

For our trip in 12/2014 we're thinking about trying dinner at Trail's End one evening. We are planning on going to HS that night to see the Osborne Lights. What would be the best way to get from the back of Fort Wilderness to HS? We've never stayed at the campground. How is the bus service from Fort Wilderness?

There are a lot of stops, and it can be a little confusing. You might do better to take the boat (very close to Trail's End) over to WL and catch a bus there.

Agreed. This route has the same number of transfers, but might actually take less time than riding the bus through FW to get to the external bus stop (it's been my experience that the wait for boats is often shorter than the wait for buses). It's also a very nice trip.

if you take boat to WL be prepared to ride bus to HS back to FW to stop there on way to HS as most times they share buses.

In that case, just stay on the boat to CR or MK and switch there

Boat to MK might be fastest. Bus from MK to DHS is non-stop (except before 9 a.m.); while bus from WL stops at FtW, and bus from CR stops at GF.

OTOH, bus stops at WL & CR have benches to sit while waiting; bus stop at MK does not.
