Hi guys,

Hopefully somewhere can give me a bit of steer. We are hoping to do Trail's End for breakfast when we are there in May.

A few questions, we're planning on doing this a morning when we have EPCOT World Showcase planned, as this doesn't open until 11. Our plan is to park at MK TTC, then take a boat to Fort Wilderness, then after breakfast the boat back to TTC & the monorail to EPCOT. Just to combine a few things we've never done before.

My question is how long is the boat ride from TTC Fort Wilderness, so that we can get there with sufficient time? And where would we go to get this boat?

Thanks in advance.

The boat dock is across Bay Lake in front of the Magic Kingdom. You might want to the the bus to the MK and it is a short walk to the boat dock. It is a nice boat ride. I think the boats run every 20 minutes or so....and it takes about that long...maybe a little less to get to FW. Then you could ride the boat back and take the monorail to the T&TS to transfer to the EPCOT monorail. Another option would be to get on the Beach Club bus at the MK and walk to the WS entrance from the Beach Club. Sounds like a fun morning.

You may have accounted for this, but you can boat from FW to CR or MK. At either stop, when you monorail to TTC, you exit the monorail & get on a different monorail to Epcot. It is a lot of travel time, but I enjoy the boat & monorail to bus

I hadn't considered that, having never seen the Contempary Resort it could be interesting to do!

A bus doesn't inspire me, and I know it may not be efficient but having been there 10+ we've never rode the monorail to EPCOT. Just looking to do things we've never done before.

I'm looking at:
Parking at TTC
Monorail > Contempary Resort
Boat > Fort Wilderness
Breakfast
Boat > Contempary Resort
Monorail > TTC
Monoral > EPCOT

If our breakfast was at 9am, finished by 10am. Do you think it would be feasible to get to EPCOT by 11am?

We stay at FW all the time, and the above is exactly what I would recommend. You could take a bus directly to Epcot, but we always take the boat to CR and monorail as it's much more interesting. Since Trails End is right by the boat dock, you should be in Epcot within 45 -60 minutes.

Might be a little close on time depending on the monorails. We stayed at WL in Oct and the boats were super efficient. When you get to CR, the monorail lines should be shorter then. Also, the monorail loop from TTC to Epcot is the longest, so there may be some time there. But, it is really cool to do the monorail into Epcot. It is kinda like flying into the station.

i really don't mean to high jack this thread but since we are talking about trails end .. how is the dinner ?

as well.... i have seen a boat from BC .. can we take that to trails end restaurant .. how long would it be ?

It's nothing spectacular, but it's pretty solid buffet food. They have the same Fried Chicken and Ribs that is served at the Hoop Dee Doo. They also have carved roast beef and other sides like pasta, corn bread, backed beans etc. Also the usual kids station stuff like pizza, chicken fingers, and mac/cheese. I think the popular foods tend to be the fried chicken, ribs, and shrimp. I think it's one of the lower priced buffets on site, so it's probably not a bad deal.

The Beach Club, Yacht, and Swan/Dolphin boats are a separate system that run between those resorts and Epcot/Hollywood Studios.

Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon has a diffrent system of boats that run among the various resorts ... Wilderness Lodge, Ft. Wilderness, Contemp, Poly, Floridian, and the MK.

Ft. Wilderness, Wilderness Lodge, and Contemp has a boat loop that run just between those three
