Trails end restaurant question

I was curious which buffet does everybody prefer at this restaurant. I heard that both breakfast and dinner buffets are quite excellent. Just trying to find out which one everyone thinks is a little bit better than the other meal.

If you are asking to compare the breakfast and dinner buffets, that's hard to do.
They are both 'very' good and we have eaten them many times, but are naturally very different. So, depending on if you are wanting breakfast or dinner - you can't go wrong!

The Breakfast and dinner buffet at Trails End are our favorite buffets on property. We haven't stayed at the cabins in about 5 years but still make 2 trips to Ft Wilderness every visit. once for breakfast and once for dinner because we can't choose. That being said if I absolutely HAD to pick one meal I'd probably pick dinner. There's something about Ft Wilderness in the evening that I love so much. The general atmosphere is awesome and our favorite server on property works the dinner shift at Trails End. My family's had her as a server so often that we now request her and she remembers us from year to year and always treats us like family.

NOTE1: Above include breakfast-dinner (we don't like the lunch), it has tasty comfort
food. We like the buffets as dining alternatives, as they are reasonably priced for Disney
meals. Lunch is far behind in quality or value. In Spring-2011, they changed lunch menus
to ala carte and we recommend it only for a light midday meal. We think the lunch food
is a little overpriced and only average in food quality. For dinner, taste the yummy fried
chicken and "make-your-own-potato" bar. For breakfast, you REALLY, REALLY, NEED the
sticky buns. The nice thing about breakfast, might be the low crowds, as many campers
prepare breakfast at the campsite. Trail's End Breakfast Buffet is the second best buffet,
behind The Wave breakfast buffet at Contemporary for quality, and the best price value.
A point to remember is that the majority of the Trails End customers are from the camp
ground, so they prices are reasonable and the items are good comfort food.

NOTE2: Trails End is out-of-the-way for most WDW guests. It takes about 20-min for the
boat from MK-to-FW, about 10-minutes for the boat from WL-to-FW, about 15-min for the
boat from CR-to-FW (excluding the waiting times for the next boat).

Just curious Rusty, have you had issues with their friendliness or attentiveness? We have been going there since they opened and never remember a time when everyone was not very friendly or attentive - DH & I rate them A on both!!

The prices used to be a 'lot' more reasonable before those other than the campground caught on to how good the buffets are!! 'Was' a best kept secret!!
