I booked a trails end dinner for Halloween night at 4:35 (next option want until 5:30) so that we could eat dinner, then walk around the resort and check out the decorated camp sites and let the kids trick or treat. I was already planning on dining here once during our trip because I have read they do a great vegan meal so I thought this was a good night.

I’ve read they don’t allow non resort guests parking here on Halloween but will they let us park our vehicle and take the bus to the restaurant if we have an ADR? Then we can just walk over to the camp sites after dinner?

Yes.

However, I prefer to take the ferry to MK and then take the boat over to Ft. Wilderness. Its such a pretty boat ride and you dock right there within a few hundred feet of the restaurant.

Finding a parking spot on Halloween at FtW may be next to impossible. With the various events they hold during 10/30 and 10/31 the main and overflow parking are typically packed. As mentioned, best bet is to take the boat from MK, or take the Wilderness Lodge/Contemp/FtW boat loop.

If you do check out some some of the campsites keep an eye out for the RV with the big 'BROCKTOON' mickey head on the front ... we've got a preferred campsite over Halloween so we'll be in one of the loops right up by Trail's End

That’s awesome, I’ll keep an eye out! With great pain I gave up our Fort Wilderness campsite, October 27th to November 6. I know hard those reservations are to get and we were looking forward to staying at the Fort over Halloween. However we ended up booking flights and a hotel instead since we are coming from Canada that’s a long way to haul the trailer. Maybe another time! My only issue with parking at MK instead of the Fort is that we’d have to pay for parking and this is going to be a non park day for us and I didn’t want to pay to park. We are staying at Bonnet Creek so no free parking at parks but we could have parked at the Fort with our ADR but now I’m worried that won’t be an option.
