Trails End for Breakfast

Can anyone tell me about Trails End for breakfast? We have a late breakfast reservation (11:00) in June. I mainly made this reservation because my kids want to fish at Fort Wilderness, and I figured everyone would be hot by 11:00 and would want some AC. The lunch menu doesn't appeal to us, so that's why I picked the breakfast buffet. How is it?

quite tasty and we recommend it. . Dinner quality is next

Nothing fancy, just straight ahead standard breakfast fare and lots of it. I'm a big fan of Trails End. I hope you enjoy it there.

I had breakfast there in either 2005 or 2006. I thought it was pretty tasty, and a very good deal compared to other buffets. I really enjoyed the corned beef hash. Not a huge selection, but what they has was good IMO.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not really worried about the value as I will be on the DxDDP. I know it's not a good value for the dining plan, but I will also be eating at Ohana that night and Le Cellier for lunch the next day, so I think I will be getting my money's worth! I just picked Trail's End because of the convenience. It's where we will be for the day, and we don't want to waste time having to drive somewhere else. Standard breakfast fare is perfect for us.

Thank you, RustyScupper, for letting me know about lunch. I didn't like the menu, so it's reassuring to hear someone say they don't recommend it. I'm maybe just a little worried that we will be rushed to finish breakfast with an 11:00 reservation. The reason I picked that late though was because I know it will be HOT then and it will be a perfect time for some AC. Should I move the reservation up?

My daughter and I ate the breakfast there on our last trip, and it was a pleasant surprise. Nothing fancy, but there was a nice selection of food, quality was good and the atmosphere is very homey.

I just ate there for the first time about 2 weeks ago. I enjoyed the buffet, and everything I had was pretty good. They had some fruit, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, mickey waffles, oatmeal, grits, corned beef hash, biscuits, sausage gravy, apples, danishs, dry cereal, hash browns and my favorite item, pulled pork hash. Besides the pulled pork, it had potatos, green pepper and onions. I thought it was very good. And to drink, there was a long list of options that were included with the price. Several different kinds of juices (I had orange), sweet tea, soft drinks, chocolate milk. I paid "out of pocket", so with a tip, I spent almost $20.

Breakfast nothing fancy, but good. Not real crowded. We were sad b/c we go there for the animals that were always outside (Mickey cow), last time we were there, they were gone!

We have and ADR for the Trails End breakfast, mid May. I have never eaten there, either, but I suspected what most said, just a straight forward breakfast.

Our ADR time is 10:55. Now, I cannot speak for this restaurant, BUT, I can tell you that we often dine at Chef Mickeys and other breakfast buffets and ask for the latest breakfast time possible. We like to sleep late when we are on vacation, and don't want to feel rushed in the mornings. They ALWAYS have breakfast items out for quite awhile afterwards, I NEVER feel rushed. At some point, they start putting out lunch items, but they keep a section of breakfast items. I have even been impressed that they replenish the breakfast items with hot, fresh food...even well after "breakfast time" is over.

This is our first ever stay at FW (if you look at my signature, we have stayed soooo many places) and I am trying to soak in as much of the resort as I can!

We ate there on Saturday for the first time and I thought it was pretty good. The sticky buns were yummy and the eggs were always hot, buttery and fresh. Bacon is the normal limp Disney bacon unfortunately. There were hashbrowns, a bbq type potato hash with some kind of meat in it, yogurt, fresh fruit, sausage, mickey waffles with different toppings (banana, apple and syrup), grits and oatmeal, biscuits with gravy, breakfast pizza, cereal, different pastries...

For us it was well worth it as we were only there for the night and paid OOP. For 5 of us (1 under 2) it came to $55. Not too shabby for a Disney buffet!

We've had breakfast at Trail's End several times and always enjoyed it. Not as much variety as some of the breakfast buffets but we are not real adventurous breakfast eaters anyway so it worked out well for us.

We are not crazy about the lunch there either. We haven't eaten there since they changed the lunch menu but we never really enjoyed the lunch buffet for some reason.

We're trying the breakfast buffet for the first time in June. My oldest son is doing the Wilderness Segway Tour after we finish breakfast and we're heading to the Magic Kingdom.
