Trails end dinner....menu? Just buffet?

i have a child with autism that is extremely pickey with food. Although the menu looks wonderful to all of us and kid friendly to most- it won't work for him. Can I order off a menu for him or is it just buffet for dinner?

It's buffet only for dinner. The kitchen switches over. If you want to order off the menu, you will have to do lunch.

Thank guys. He only eats chicken nuggets, Mac n cheese, hot dogs, grilled cheese, fruit, French fries, etc. I didn't see anything listed that he would eat

It looks like there is a menu and a buffet listed, but I figured it couldn't be both because they'd never keep track of who ordered what, but figured it was worth asking. He won't eat anything listed on the buffet. That's Ok though, DH wasn't sold on it anyways.

Breakfast is a buffet only, lunch is a la carte from a menu and dinner is buffet only.
Good Luck finding something for him.

Years ago they used to have Mac and cheese. I also have an ASD kid that only eats a very similar meal selection to what you describe. We were at the HDDR in 2013 and they brought us a Mac and Cheese dinner from Trails end. I am not sure if they have the same menu now, but most of the buffets have chicken nuggets and mac and cheese. He eats Mac n cheese,hot dogs, grilled cheese, chicken nuggets, fruit, French fries. Some others too, but nothing listed that's catching my eye.

there wasn't chicken nuggets in nov when we went. (I have a nugget eater) my son did like the pizza and rolls

There was plenty of Mac n cheese when we ate there in Aug, and it was delicious

I read there is an option of the soup/salad bar only at dinner instead of the full buffet, anyone know if that is true?

When I was there at the end of February there were two different types of Mac and cheese

The menu lists chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and a fruit cup as choices on the children's menu for lunch. Those selections technically aren't offered for dinner, since it's a buffet. But if you contacted Disney dining and explained your son's situation, I wouldn't be surprised if they could provide some of those choices to your son at dinner, as they make every effort to be accommodating to those with special needs. It can't hurt to ask, if the buffet looks good to the rest of your party. And there is mac and cheese on the buffet.

I have not eaten at Trail's End, but we did HDDR in Dec, and the waitress brought out mac and cheese for DD. We didn't ask for it, but she brought it out anyway, and said something about mac and cheese for the kids. Since TE and HDDR share the same kitchen, I would think that TE would have access to the mac and cheese.
