Hi All,

Do they still have take out for the buffet at trails end? I have friends going next week and their on a TIGHT budget. I was hoping to send them here one night.

Thanks in advance for all your wisdom.

Yes, got take out buffet last week. $18 for one dinner got a soup container, a small square container, a large sqaure container, and a drink.

I fill the soup container with a side item, the small square with dessert and the large square with chicken and ribs.

There was enough food for my family of four (kids are 4 and 7)

We also did this for breakfast one morning. Plenty for all at $12.

Thanks so much! Just what I needed to know. They don't have a car, so I didn't want to send them out of their way and have them find out that they couldn't do this.

The chicken take out looked great! Thanks for that tip too.

Regards,
Skip

Married! Married?!? Married!

Didn't know about the take out for the buffet. We cook a night or two at the cabins, would be nice to add to our feast.

It may be more economical for them to add on the dining plan. It is about $40.00/day/adult and $10.00/day/child. They could eat VERY well for the $$ spent.... and they may actually spend less than if they pay OOP. But they would have to have a pkg, and add it on NOW. You cannot add DDP after you arrive. I believe it needs to be added 3-5 days before arrival.
If they do not do the DDP, be sure to have them go to Cosmic Rays in the MK. You can get a combo meal (ribs and chicken) for about $13.00. There is pleny of food in that one for 2 adults to share. And icewater is free...everywhere! Have them checkout www.allearsnet.com for the menus!

We did a chicken take out thing there a couple of years ago...for under $20 we got 10 huge pieces of chicken, a big cole slaw, a mountain of fries and a bunch of biscuits...I remember thinking this is the first time I ever fed 3 hungry teens and 2 adults at WDW for less than $20! It was better than KFC prices at home!!

Also did the take out thing at lunch that same trip...got 1 large and 2 small carry out containers and had more than enough to feed 3 of us. Lunch is just $12 or 13 at Trails End.
