Thanks for the response. We have a TT that I was considering renting to families that want to go to FW. I am just trying to do research to see if there is any intrest in this. We live 2 hours from WDW and that would give me an excuse to visit more often!
A huge reason we camp is because I sleep in my own bed, sit on my own couch, eat at my own table, etc.. If we didn't have a TT, we'd either rent a cabin but would probably stay at the Wilderness Lodge.

I am wondering if you have or would consider renting a travel trailer at Ft Wilderness.
I'd rent one with a bunkhouse in order to try it out and see if I think it's worth the hassles of upgrading. Or, if I only had a short trip and didn't feel like taking 4 days driving (2 days each way), I'd consider flying in and renting a TT there. Thanks for the response. Oh, I see. Your original post made it sound like you wanted to rent. Now that I read further down I see what you are thinking.
I don't know if I would rent out your trailer to someone. Maybe if it was someone you knew very well and trusted them. I am not sure how insurance would be handled either.
I think you would be better off driving it there and setting it up yourself but would they let you do that at the Fort?
From my research so far, the insurance is purchased by the renter. It is usually about $15.00 per day. We are in the beginning stages of figuring this all out. Before we bought the trailer, we were considering renting but the prices were ridiculous. I dont know how the average person can afford to bring their kids to WDW for vacation. I am in the position to vacation often but I do remember the days when a trip to Disney was a dream for us. If we decide to rent it, maybe others will be able to enjoy a trip.Would you allow pets? My dogs do a lot of tent camping with me, but I wouldn't want them tent camping in Florida. A trailer with A/C though, I'd at least consider it.
I would be sure to have plenty of time between renters to clean/repair.
Wow, as a non-trailer owner and frequent tent camper (with my dog), I would love to try trailer camping at the Fort! Who knows, I might like it so much that I'd have to get a trailer. What kind of trailer do you have? I've only ever tent camped at FW once and would love to stay there again, but DH says "I'm not sleeping in a tent at Disney". Frankly, their cabins are too $$$ so we stay value instead. It's great to be at Disney, but it ain't the Fort. FW is an experience all its own.
