Trail from Epcot Resorts to Epcot Monorail?

I just wanted to know if anyone knows if there is a walking trail from the Epcot resorts to the Epcot monorail station w/o going through Epcot? Thanks in advance.

Nope.

Best way to MK from Epcot resorts is a Disney Bus.

Well then, "technically" you could say that same thing about walking a "trail" from the Epcot resorts to MK and DAK.

And you might find yourself picked up by the nice WDW security folks. Walking on the highways isn't permitted. It's a safety hazard.

When we took the Illuminations Cruise last jear our driver told us that the original plan was to have a monorail stop between the Swan/Dolphin resorts to go to MK. That would be so cool. He said that is what the black colored exterior walls are marking on the S/D resorts.

He was mistaken. That is a popular urban legend, though. The black squares on the exteriors of the Swan and Dolphin was a standard motif employed by architect Michael Graves on everything he designed, during that part of his life. You'll see it on buildings, across the world, as well as in furniture, and even appliances such as telephones.

bicker- Thanks for the info. I hope he wasn't wrong about all the stuff going on with the Illuminations globe. I'll never be able to see all the images unless I bring my binoculars. I've been happy to listen to the music content in beliving I have some idea of what is going on!

Not only would you have to walk on roadways, the roadways all curve away from EPCOT when you go from the EPCOT area resorts to anywhere else. They go a pretty good distance before curving back toward EPCOT. And you can't just cut through the landscaping, as that little creek separating EPCOT from Beach Club Villas is in your way.

It's best to either take a bus from EPCOT resorts to MK (about 20-30 minutes depending on the wait) or plan it so that you happen to be in the front of EPCOT when you wish to head over to MK. That way it's but a short walk to the monorail. You'll still have to transfer monorails at the TTC, but at least the walking is not too bad this way (at least not like the walk from the EPCOT resorts all the way to the front of EPCOT).
