Traffic Leaving Thanksgiving weekend?

We're planning on driving down Baltimore for a stay from Nov 18th through Thanksgiving. DH would like to leave Saturday morning of Thanksgiving weekend to avoid doing majority of our travelling on that Sunday. I am suggesting we wait till Sunday evening to leave Florida and drive till we're tired and stop overnight and drive Monday. He thinks there will be too much traffic leaving Florida late in the day Sunday.

Has anyone ever left that time of day Thanksgiving weekend? I figure if we can do it, it gives us some time in the park earlier in the day when it is quieter after the holiday crowds.

I think your DH is right. MOST people, whether driving or flying, will be leaving the Sunday following Thanksgiving. I know it's disappointing to not spend every possible minute at Walt Disney World, but it makes sense to get on the road (and probably home) while traffic is relatively light. That Sunday is the second or third busiest travel day of the year.
