Channel tunnel is closed on the French side

No trains are running beyond Lille so Eurostar are suspended

Civil Aviation Authority have cancelled 25% of flights for CDG and 20% for ORLY so check with your airline before setting off

Where DLP is at to the East of Paris for the moment isn't too bad it's really the West side (Versailles) that is heavily hit by this bad weather but take care if you are driving.

I just heard about the Chunnel on the news. Made me think about people from here trying to get to disney. Hope it clears up soon!

Think about those who may be stranded here an extra night :) too.

Made arrangements to stay an extra night if we have to. The CM's at City Hall very help full. Been trying to call Eurostar to find out if the direct DLP to London train is running but all I'm getting is an engage tone :(

Staying an extra night isn't so bad ;)

The RER A between Val de Fontenay and Marne la Vallée-Chessy is interupted atm. The RATP estimate resuming trains in the afternoon.

The branch going out to Boissy St Léger is untouched.

From what I heard on other lines the pb is between Val de Fontenay and Noisy Le Grand.

Im travelling by eurostar tomorrow morning whats the liklihood of it running? So stressed :'(

It's not likely as there is nothing going through the tunnel from this side.

The train traffic is totally suspended at least according to the SNCF

Eurostar have finally updated their info but it's still not enough :sad2:

12 March 2013 – update 10.00

Severe weather conditions overnight in Northern France and Belgium have resulted in sections of the high speed line being closed.

All Eurostar services are currently disrupted and are subject to severe delays.

Our advice to passengers is not to travel today and not to come to our stations.

Exchanges and refunds will be available to affected passengers.

You'll have to contact Eurostar directly and ask them as their updates are few and far between atm.

Fingers crossed you will be ok and not stuck somewhere for hours on the train :goodvibes

The forecast in Kent is that it is going to ease this afternoon but go South so hopefully it will be up and running. The advantage if going by Eurotunnel is that they can use the ferries if need be but you still have to drive once in France.

That's where the pb is atm - You've got 29 department on Orange alert and 2 on red alert - the Nord-Pas Calais is one of them. So anyone arriving in Calais is facing a difficult journey driving down as the conditions are atrocious up there.

So Eurostar have now finally cancelled all trains

12 March 2013 – update 11.30
Severe weather conditions overnight in Northern France and Belgium have led to the closure of the high speed line.
Eurostar is not able to run any services for the remainder of the day.
Passengers will not be able to travel on Eurostar services today and should not come to our stations.
Exchanges and refunds will be available to affected passengers.

But still no message about what they plan for tomorrow. :rolleyes2

Here I've got patchy slush - will put a picture up in a bit - and it's stopped snowing

The RER A from Val de Fontenay to MLV has started again with 1 in 2 trains running.

They stopped them as they needed to de ice the tracks

You'll have to see nearer the time Carys. The weather forecast is never accurate for any further than 48 hours, 72 at a push.

We are like this today but due for 9° again on Friday

I agree with Carrie, we go on 20th and I've decided not to pack until the 19th, the weather is so changeable.
