With the recent posts about the huge number of AP holders filling the park, what do you think I can expect Oct 18-22? This is our first visit and we purposely chose what we thought would be less busy but I am now concerned as to whar to expect. Any ideas?

That is when we are going as well. Last year we went at the beginning of Oct. and it wasn't too bad. I think the longest line was 20mins.

I haven't gone too much in October but I've heard it's been pretty crowded the last year or two because the halloween stuff is so popular. I'm not sure how it compares to summer but it's not really considered off-season. Of course, there really isn't an off-season anymore.

That's the time that we went last year. I thought that we would be fine because it was after Gay Days, UEA, and Miley; but it was bad. It wasn't as bad as summer, except for the evenings. The evenings were bad because they close DCA early on Halloween party nights, so everyone spills into DL. It was unbelievably crazy on Friday night. Just be prepared to follow Hydroguy's tips, and you'll be fine.

I tried to avoid the busy time af Gay Days and the long weekend but we will see. I will have some sort of plan to make sure we do everything we want to. We won't be doing too much in the evenings though as the kids go to bed between 8 and 9 (they are 4 and 6). We are going to get tickets to the DCA Trick or Treat.
