Traffic flow down I-5

Hi everyone, first trip in several years. We are coming down from the Central Valley and are wondering how the traffic flow is now? How would traffic be after 10Am?, but before 3pm? We will head back north on a Sunday morning so thinking that might be OK.Thank-you.

Typically smooth sailing until you get into the LA Basin...I have done a ton of driving from NorCal to and through SoCal and would try and hit Burbank area ether before 1pm or after 8pm for weekdays if I had the flexibility.

Google Maps has a feature where you enter start and directions to destination then there is a pull down menu that you can play with the day of week and time windows to see typical travel times with traffic.

Echo park area is always slow. DON’T get off when GPS says you can cut time off by going 2 to 101 back to 5.

Lots of earthquakes last night near the Grapevine. We were rocking and rolling in LA. Aftershocks are still happening today.

I used to live in Modesto, CA. We would leave at 5:30 or 6:00 a.m. and be at Disneyland in time for lunch!

That is always my plan as well except I am usually leaving closer to 4am. It just seems like such a long drive when you don't arrive until late afternoon/early evening.

JUst did that drive yesterday before the earthquake! Left San Jose at 10 am and arrived Pasadena 4 pm.
