We're staying at Westgate Lakes on Turkey Lake Rd. in early June. I had read an earlier post that said "If you want to get to Disney without getting onto the interstate turn right out of the complex onto Turkey Lake Rd. and stay on the road. It comes out by the Crossroads shopping center and has basically no traffic" Does anyone know this area and if this is a good shortcut? Is there a lot of contruction on the interstate between Universal and Disney World right now? Thanks for any ideas.

I'm not sure about the current construction in that exact area, but you can check out this website: http://www.dot.state.fl.us/traveler.htm It will give you up to date information on road construction throughout Florida.
