We'll be at WDW from Nov 15-23 (the week before Thanksgiving), and this will be our first time there during "Christmas". I know a lot of decorations will be up and I wanted to know if anyone does anything extra to get into a Christmas-y mood. I'm normally one to push off anything Christmas until Dec 1st, so I'm really going against type, here:teeth:. Do you listen to a Christmas playlist on the way down? Keep hot chocolate in your room? Bring peppermint-scented body wash? Let me know if you have ideas of things to do or eat, places to visit, ect...

You should definitely check out:

the Merry Menagerie puppet show is returning to Disney's Animal Kingdom on November 14, 2025, and will run through December 31, 2025.

They are beautiful life sized animal puppets that interact with guests. Usually they come out by 10am and stay until 5pm, though I’ve seen them later too.

We are staying in a Fort Wilderness cabin next month, a little earlier than you. We are taking a Christmas tablecloth for the dining table, a small (3-foot) Christmas tree with lights and decorations and a light up ceramic tree for the bedroom. We also have some Christmas window clings to put up. We are going to MVMCP on check in day, to get us in the mood. We have also rented a golf cart and are taking some decorations for it as well. The fact that we are driving to the resort makes a big difference in what we can bring, but anyone could bring window clings in a suitcase and they cling to mirrors also.

We saw a video of those online. They look adorable!

We usually take a short trip down just for MVMCP. We also stop in the Springs, where Christmas is everywhere. If that's not enough, we also tour the hotels for the decorations. Have a safe trip.

We're renting some DVC points. I was toying with the idea of a tree, but I was worried about space in our studio. The window clings sound like just the thing!

For starters… go for the special holiday exclusive snacks and dishes throughout the park! You will be spoiled for choice in terms of cookies and other treats.
