Did anyone catch this episode with Hildy glueing feathers on all the walls of a bedroom? It may have been a re-run, don't know. I just about died when the owner said "my cats will have a field day!" So funny! Can you just imagine what cats will do to that wall - feathers all over the house. The owners kept saying "well, I really like the bed".

Oh I imagine the cats will just have a great time with all of those feathers. Wait, maybe they won't have to worry about taking them down after all, they can just leave the cats in the room for about a week, that should do the trick.

Also can you imagine how much dust those feathers are going to collect. I am by not means a clean freak but wow what a mess that will be.

Shoot, I wanted to see that episode...I missed it. I hope they show it again. I really want to see how the room turned out and what the owner's reaction was.

Hildi strikes again! From a distance, that looked like potato chips on the wall. Either way, I'm not sure how turkey feathers on the wall can be construed as romantic. She certainly could have done a better job given the card she used for inspiration.....

The whole time I was watching the episode, I kept thinking "I sure hope they like it, because I have no idea how they will get all those feathers off their walls." I didn't like one single thing about the room-- not the bed, not the chaise, nothing.

I personally loved the part at the end where she talks about how her own home has all white painted walls----

I thought I saw a commercial for next week where Hildi is covering the walls with cardboard.

Well, at least she keeps things interesting.Solotraveler:earsboy:

I missed it too, hopefully I'll catch a repeat. I just hope they don't have any allergies! Could you imagine if they were allergic to down! LOL

Actually, the HO working in the house mentioned the possibility of allergies, and Hildi said "they have down pillows". I thought about the dust factor too. My DH is a remodeling contractor, he said the only way to get those feathers off the wall would be to scrape the walls, which means they would then have to have them retextured. These were REALLY nice, expensive houses, I guess they can afford to fix it. I feel bad for them, though. I think you guys are right, they're encouraging Hildi to do outrageous things (cardboard next!) to improve ratings. Diana

I stopped watching Trading Spaces because they seemed to just be trying to top one another on stupid designs. So when I happened to watch it last night, what are they doing but hot gluing feathers to the walls. That's it for me.

I watched the episode mostly because I heard a radio ad for it on the am talk radio that I listen to on my way to work.

OMG! I would have to kill that woman! Hildi would so never be allowed in my house as a decorator. I don't think it's about the "art" as she tried to pass it off as being. I think it's about ratings or the lack thereof lately.

I used to love the show, but it does seem that it's turning into a show more about ticking off the homeowners with outrageous designs that do little to promote be beauty or function of the room, but create such a furor that it creates ratings. It's sad really. Maggie

I only watched half of the show because I was like this isn't a good thing. I'll have to watch the rerun's to see the home owners reactions

I saw it. I just kept shaking my head the whole time. The whole feathers thing was over the top. Though i did like the bed. But if they did that in my house they'd be taking them all down b4 they left. For some reason my impression was not Romance, but padded cell.

I didn't like the other room all that much either. The colors were way bolder and the way they were painted was too much. I'd never be able to sleep in there. I have a question about the cities they painted. Once they put them up against paint of the SAME color, I could NOT see them at all. Did this happen to anybody else?

Sad thing is i used to like the show, but i watch it less often now, cause i rarely like the finished product. But, just once i wanna see the owners get mad about a design. Just once:p
