I can't believe they had Hildi do another kid's room! She put down bright white carpeting!!! And I thought the paint splattering looked bad. The cupboards were cute though.

Gen's room was okay. I didn't like the color and the drawers under the bed were really too big to be much use. I doubt there was enough room to slide them out all the way. Plus, they had no wheels on the bottom so they won't slide out easily and you know they used cheap drawer slides (if any) so those drawers will always be getting stuck.

I do like Handy Andy though. He's not as cute as Ty, but he's a much better carpenter.

I didnt think Hildys room was that bad ( EXCEPT the white carpet she obvioulsly has NO KIDS) And I am NOT her fan at all!!


The orange in Gens room was a bit much but she didnt have much to work with there. That room was
tiny

Yeah, but she told the mother that she could pick it up and launder it when necessary. What's that, about every other day with 2 girls sharing that room!?!? I thought the concept of the spattering paint was neat, but there are so many interesting things you can do with painting techniques that I was disappointed in the way it turned out. I liked the multiple colors on the curtains and the cabinets, but she could have taken that theming and made stencils and put multi-colored flowers on the walls to compliment the cabinets.

I thought the same thing about the drawers under the bed. I didn't think they were too large, if kept organized, but they definitely needed better slides or wheels.

The woman who owned that bedroom was definitely a whiner. I kept yelling at the TV to put a sock in it. She knew what she was getting into by applying to be on that show.

I cannot stand Hildi! Why on earth would she decorate a room for 2 little girls in those primary colors. I thought the finished room was very bland. I like RUDisney's idea about stenciling to match the cabinets. That was the only part of the room I liked.

I agree the homeowner with the bedroom was a complete wind bag! I cannot stand it when people complain when they sign up for the show.

I liked Gen's room. It was very small and I thought she did a great job. I was not crazy about the draws under the bed but they do have a lot more storage than before.

I will be glad when they are back in the USA and we can see Vern, Doug, Lori, Ty and Amy again.

I was surprised at how much I LIKED Hildi's room. Yes, I would have liked it to be more "girly", but overall (and for Hildi) it was a good room (although she went WAY over budget). The parents seemed to like it...the little girls seemed if-y (although it could have been all of the confusion and people, etc).

Gen did an excellent job with her room. I can't believe how whiny the woman who got it was about it. Geeze! I think her friend was tired of it (he seemed to be doing a lot of the work).

We saw that episode. I personally did not like the spattered paint....it was too 80's. ick. the colors were not very girly either. I liked the orange room ok but hated the curtains.

I have only seen this show twice and did not like what they did either time.

That white fur Hildi put down is not going to last. It's only stuck to the floor with double stick tape. I can see it getting all bunched up right away. I really liked the faux armoire wall, but wasn't crazy about the paint splattered walls. I don't think they splattered enough, and what they did do was quite messy and blotchy. I did enjoy seeing Hildi full of paint though. She was clearly unhappy about it.

There wasn't much Gen could do with that tiny room, but she did a good job adding storage. I thought the same thing about the drawers though. They needed casters or something. The woman who lived in that room was awful! Her reaction was weird, especially when she started ranting about "bad karma".

Who was that mean lady anyway...she must be related to the fireplace lady...you know exactly who I am talking about. I so agree with everyone else...Don't sign up unless you are ready for ANYTHING!!!I must be the only Hildy fan out here...did not care for the room but loved her shoes

ROFL! That's what I was thinking! I couldn't believe it when she compared the orange color to puke. I don't generally like orange, but I thought that room looked great.

I think I would have liked the girls' room if she hadn't splatter painted it. That would be easy to cover up with real paint, though. I liked all of the colors. I agree that the carpet won't last, but what can you expect for so little money? I thought that the lady working on that room was stupid when she talked about how long it would take to repaint the room and how they had lowered the resale value. I'm a horrible painter, but it still wouldn't take me long to cover that up.

I wanted Gen to toatally ruin the "whiner's" room. She did a much nicer job than I wanted her to do. Of course "Whiner" probably wasn't satisfied.

I kinda liked the girls' room. The white carpet was not a good idea though.
