Has any disney vacation club member ever used the interval international trading? I would like to go to England and don't know how it works. I see there is a low season and high season but don't know the dates for either. Are the rooms the same as disney vacation clubs? How does it work. I know I'm asking a lot but when I emailed dvc they told me I had to contact member services. I just would like a little more info or experiences from those who have used it.

Thanks

You should post this over on the DVC board.

Also, do an advanced search and you should be able to bring up plenty of threads regarding your question.

I'll pop you over to the DVC Planning Board..and I hope that's the right one:) If not, a DVC mod will put it on the correct DVC Board:)

HTH!!...and have a wonderful trip when you get there!

The first thing you do is call MS and start a search option. There will be a minimal charge. It is best to search for wide windows both in regards to date and which resort. I would probably search for anything in the area you want to be and give a travel window of at least a couple of months. Once they find a match for you, they will let you know, and you will have a short time to let them know if you accept the exchange or not.

I know the process is outlined in the documents we received when we made our purchase, but I think the process might also be on the member site. Sometimes it is easiest to read the information first, and then come here with specific questions for us to answer.

My DH and I did it for our honeymoon and are doing it again for summer 08. Here are a few tips that I've learned:

1. Call ASAP. The sooner you call, the better your chances.
2. If you want a specific hotel, then give MS several weeks and/or months that you would be willing to travel. The more open you are, the better chances of getting the hotel you want.
3. If it is a certain area you want (like you want to go to England, but don't mind where) and you can only go on certain dates, give several options for hotels. That is what my DH and I did for our honeymoon. We wanted to go to Aruba, but could only go a certain week since we are both coaches. So we gave MS 3 different resorts we would stay at. Luckily we got the one we really wanted. We told them that was our number one choice, so if you do that, it might help.

You will have to pay $75 for doing this, but it's well worth it to get to go somewhere around the world for very inexpensive prices. Good luck!
