Can someone tell me where I can purchase trading pins for low cost but "legal" so the kids can trade them when we go to WDW?

There are Disney outlet stores in Orlando, which is basically where leftover Disney world stock goes, in stores called "Character Corner", "Character Premiere" and the "Character Warehouse". They are in different outlet malls all over Orlando. There are two (warehouse and premiere) in Mall 2 at the Belz Factory Outlet Mall on international drive, and there is another (premiere) located in the Orlando Premium Outlets mall on 8200 Vineland Avenue. The last one, Character Corner, is the one I went to the most although seems to have the worst stock. Its located in the Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores. I'm pretty sure most of these will have "legal" pins and they are definitely cheaper, although I've never been to the one in Belz Outlet Mall. But Character Premiere in Orlando Premium Outlets mall (8200 Vineland Avenue) definitely had them and very cheap so I would suggest there first.

Thank you for the good suggestion, however, I need some suggested places on the web or that I can order over the telephone. We will not be able to shop the outlet malls before going to WDW as we will fly in and we are not renting a car. Do you know of any websites that sell pins?

I search this board and saw that there is a dizneypins.com or try on ebay. I usually get them on Ebay for my daughter in lots of the same pin. She is only trading them so it is really no big deal that they are the same.

I buy them off of E-bay. Just search for Disney pin lots. Make sure they say not from Spain or no Sedesma.

I always get them on Ebay. Buy around 8 or so, ones they already have, or don't really want. Try never to pay more than half. Works pretty well.

I don't want to sound so negitive, but......

How much fun is it to buy the pins before you go. WE LOVE GETTING DISNEY STUFF AT WDW. What joy do you see on your kids faces as their picking out stuff on the computer. They have pins that aren't that expensive at WDW, so let you kids pick them out there. So when you go back to WDW, you know they picked it out or traded it at WDW.

The first visit we were trading we bought about 25 pins between the five of us. At $6.50 to $10.50 it was a sizable invesment. Next trip, I bought 100 pins from cheappins for about $3 a piece. For us that is a huge difference. We choose not to squander money, nor teach our children to. All of the pins were of good quality, and thus we all came out winners.

The problem for us with DS buying them at WDW is that he then doesn't want to trade them, but he likes trading. So, it's easier to buy a bunch of them, cheaper, that he won't mind giving away for something he really wants. The only pin he will likely buy is one for each of the hotels we stay at.

:goodvibes We buy a lot of "girl" pins because my boys would keep half of the traders if I didn't!

Another ebay vote from me! My husband buys most of his traders there; check for pin lots for better deals.
PS- stay away from Sedesmas; they're tradable, but sometimes you get a hard time trying to trade them.

Forgot to add: ditto the ebay suggestion. I bought a "lot" of CM lanyard pins for just over $3.00 a shot last month. And that included the whole set of E-ticket pins.

Sorry if it is stupid question but do the kids trade with any others than the CMs? Just trying to figure out what to expect.

Okay I'm a TOTAL newbie and I don't get the pin thing - can someone briefly explain it to me?
