I have seen several people posting on different threads with a personalized logo. How do I do one? That is so cool!:bounce:

A custom signature is what you are asking about. If you edit your profile there is a place called, "Signature" where you can put text, links and email addresses.

You can also add graphics. The graphic can be a photo or a custom designed graphic. There are a few graphic designers on the boards. You may be able to talk one into designing you a graphic or perhaps you can do the design yourself.

Good luck,

Actually what I looking for is similiar to the circle logos that say Disney Pin Trading at the top and have a character in the center. On your webpage you have one that has "Big Ben" in the center. The ones I have seen on the DISboard have peoples name or nickname in the bottom of the circle.

Yes, I understand what you mean, I was just trying to explain the different possibilities.

Although many traders have a circular graphic with a Disney character in the center and a board name at the bottom of the circle you can post any kind of graphic you want.

Once you have a graphic that you like it needs to be posted to a web server so that it will show up in your signature.

On my Pin Clubs web server I have a folder/section called graphics and in that folder I have a graphic named "bbcjdpt.gif" which stands for Buddy Bear Central Jersey Disney Pin Traders.

If I want the image to appear on the DIS Boards website I have to include a "path" to the image in the signature part of my profile.

Since the graphics folder is in a subdirectory of my website the path to the graphic would be like this = http://www.pinclubs.com/graphics/bbcjdpt.gif

If everything is done correctly the image appears at the bottom of all your posts.

Lastly, as I said before, you may find be able to find an artist that can create a graphic for you. There are a few that participate on the DIS Boards or perhaps you can do it yourself.

If you want I would be happy to host your signature icon on my web server so that it will appear in your posts.

Please let me know,

Jeff

Brack,

What kind of character did you have in mind for a logo? I'm no professional artist but I do play one on television. Maybe I can give you a hand.

Jeff

Thanks for all the info guys.

PinClubs: It would be great of you to host the graphic once it gets built. Thanks for the offer. Also, thanks for all the information on the process. Although I have worked on computers since the 70's this is still fairly new to me.

AZ Jazzy: I am a Mickey kinda of person. My email has been MICanMIN@aol.com since very early on in the '90s. I like blue and a Disney cruise scene in the middle would be very cool. (We are cruise fanatics now as well). I really like your version of Goofy. Something similiar to him in a Mickey format would be my choice. I'll have to work on the name at the bottom. My first thought is our name: Brack & Annette. Thanks for any suggestions on how to make this happen.

Brack,

Well it looks like you are well on your way to having your first custom signature icon. Cograts!

If you look on the Pin Clubs website homepage you will see that I post photos as well as icons for folks all over the country.

If you want to share a digital photo or two with the rest of the pin trading world just email me the photo, I will added it to my web server and then you can include it in any of your posts or I can add it to one of my photo albums.

I always enjoy placing a face to a "board name". It is amazing how many people I've talked to will say, "I met someone in DL or WDW because I saw their picture posted on Pin Clubs".

Email me at BuddyBear@PinClubs.com if you have any further questions.

TTFN,

Jeff

Thanks, I will send a photo. Again, thanks for all the help:smooth:

Brack is this something like what you're talking about?
