trading or renting developer points?

I recently bought at both BLT and AKV and was given 100 developer points. I dont believe I will be able to use them and was looking at renting them. I was wondering if anyone has ever done an uneven trade like trading 100 developer points for say 75 AKV points or any other points. I really have no intrest in staying at SSR or using them for an II trade.

You might be better off in just renting them or tranfering them to someone.

I doubt you'll bet much interest in a trade of points, but you could certainly try. If so, I'd expect you'd need to offer a better deal the 1 to 0.75. Maybe 2 to 1. You could simply rent them to someone for more, use them for family/friends as a gift, etc., there are a number of options.

I didnt think a 1 to .75 deal would be that out of line figuring I could rent for $10 and then rebuy for approx. the same. I appreciate the information, I guess I will have to start rethinking my approach.

You might find someone for that level but I doubt it unless you find someone who's also stuck. Maybe someone who doesn't have enough points right now and/or wants to stay at SSR anyway. However, if you require the points you get in return be transferred to you, that is a big negative that many would not be willing to do. Give a larger enticement would get more people interested as they would not be able to use banked or borrowed points. Also, I think you'll find many members not willing to take the chance for only a relatively small benefit and sweetening the pot might get more involved from that standpoint as well. You might get more interest if you don't require points to be transferred to you. Renting is likely you're best bet since you said you didn't want to use them at SSR or for an exchange. All you can do is offer and see what happens. Good luck, I hope it works out.
