My son LOVES seafood, esp shrimp (he's very picky) so the prospect of getting him pretty much all the shrimp he can eat (he is not a good eat usually) is a plus.

I have Fantasmic ADR's for the Brown Derby. I have another day that were eating OOP for breakfast and counter service prior to MNSSHP.

I'm thinking of changing the ADR from BD to Mama Melrose and add Spoodles in for lunch on MNSSHP instead of just a CS meal? Does Spoodles have the same menu for lunch (3pm ish) as dinner? The day of the party is a free day, with no other plans.

Advice please i want it all to be perfect lol!

Spoodles is not open for lunch.

Personally, I wouldn't switch from Brown Derby to Mama Melrose. While the food is good at both places, Brown Derby is substantially better, and the service is very professional there, while at Mama Melrose service has been pretty spotty at times.

Spoodles is great for dinner. We go every trip.

The last time I ate at the Brown Derby, I thought the ahi entree was one of the best meals I had throughout the trip. Plus, I think the atmosphere and theming is really special there, although maybe not as appealing for youngsters, with no interest in Old Hollywood.

Spoodles, on the other hand, used to be one of my favorite restaurants but has fallen a little in my estimation. The last time I went there, they had removed a lot of things I enjoyed from their menu. The Portuguese seafood stew was rather heavily flavored with kind of an alcoholic-y anise sort of flavor, and they had eliminated their coffee creme brulee for a plain vanilla. They do have a very good garlic shrimp appetizer, however.

For me, I would prefer Brown Derby over Spoodles.

I cancelled Brown Derby, though I have wanted to try it for ages, and booked Spoodles because there was more choice on the kids menu. The kids get appetizers at Spoodles. I also felt that I would rather use a 2 credit meal at a resort restaurant like Artist Point, Cali Grill or Jiko. :)

I agree with those that suggest the Brown Derby!!
While it's true that it isn't exactly the atmosphere a child would appreciate, Fantasmic pretty much guarantees it'll be full of kids at dinner.
