Trading ARs

I was curious to see if anyone has swapped one of their dining ARs with someone else in the past. I have two dinner ARs for Be Our Guest Restaurant in early December (for 4) but am unable to get into Chef Mickey's for dinner during our stay despite constantly checking. It popped into my head, "Wouldn't it be great if I could trade someone one of my Be our Guest ARs for their Chef Mickey's AR?"

Does Disney allow you to call up and transfer your AR to someone else? If not, how risky would it be to coordinate with someone to cancel an AR and have the other party immediately try to book the then open AR for popular restaurants? I would imagine that doing it in the middle of the night online would be the least risky.

Just wondering if anyone has actually attempted this before and what their experience with it was.

Disney doesn't allow reservations to be transferred anymore because of past problems.

You can subscribe to the thread to look for reservations you want and you can also post your planned cancellations.

Disney does not permit the trade or transfer of ADRS, therefore such arrangements may not be made on the boards.

You may post on the Cancellation thread for December if you are planning to cancel them, so that someone else can try to pick them up. You may also use private messages to coordinate a cancellation and rebooking. However, it's against board policy to allow "reservation wanted" posts, so option for picking up Chef Mickey's is to check the Cancellation thread for someone cancelling a Chef Mickey's reservation.
