We may go here for a few nights in May. Is there anything to do at night? How far is Tampa airport from Tradewinds? thanks:)

Yes, there are many things to do at night. What are you interested in?

Google map shows Tampa International Airport is 29.3 miles and 32 minutes from Tradewinds.

My kids are 23 and 18. We won't have a car so the night activities would have to be at the hotel or within walking distance. Thanks:)

Every resort has a tiki bar or bar on the beach. Some have live bands and dancing. One night my DH and I just went from hotel to hotel within walking distance and checked them all out. We just walked along the beach until we got to the next hotel and checked it out. There are lots of places to eat on and shop along the street. Each resort is going to have different things at the resort. For example, some have comedy clubs. We went to the Coconuts Comedy Club one night and thought it was a good time, but the comedians vary as they travel around the country: http://coconutscomedyclubs.com/
Some hotels host special events like local radio station parties. One night the hotel we prefer had Austin Mahone performing for guests only (he is popular among the teen girl age group). You just have to search the resort and surrounding resorts for your dates to see what is going on.

There are Mexican, Thai, Indian, Italian restaurants. About .7 mile walk is Corey Ave with some shops I like.

Even if you want to take a taxi, you can go to John Pass Boardwalk. http://www.johnspassvillage.net/JPMA/

There is a street with shops (including an antique store) that I like that is within walking distance of Tradewinds.

My 21 year old has been wanting to go to The Dali Museum for a while but we haven't made it yet. http://thedali.org/home.php

If we had your dates, maybe we can see what local events are going on. Sometimes there are concerts in the park (in St. Pete, not necessary near resort) marathons, etc. In February is a big Gasparilla Festival in Tampa. http://www.gasparillapiratefest.com/

Here is a website of St Pete events (not resort events, but you have to check individual resorts for those) http://www.stpete.org/events/
