Can kids go in?

In the afternoon, yes. There's a certain time after which they don't allow kids. I believe it's 7pm, maybe 8pm.

Yep, kids can be inside (but not actually AT the bar) until 8PM. But anybody can sit at the outdoor tables at any time of the day or night.

They do not take reservations, it's first come, first served.

What is Trader Sams?

Trader Sam's is a bar at the Disneyland Hotel, right next to the big fireplace and pool. It's modeled after Trader Sam from the Jungle Cruise. They feature a good selection of tropical alcoholic beverages and some pub style food like flatbreads and such.

Also even if it's not on the menu, you can order pretty much whatever you want. My wife got introduced to the Black Pearl which is a mixture of 3 or 4 different rums and is in love with it.
