I'm headed to Disney for the first time and exploring all of our food options. I'd really like to spend an evening in Trader Sam's, and I can't seem to find whether or not you need to have a Disneyland ticket to get in? We're staying off site and only have a 2 day entry ticket, so it would be awesome if we could go there the night before we actually go into the park.

We're planning on doing the same thing. I guess there is a bit of a show when certain drinks are ordered. But I can't seem to find which drinks set off the show. I want to make sure that we order one.

No you do not need a park ticket to get into Trader Sam's. It is not very big inside so there is limited indoor seating available but they do have a large patio outside as well.

We are going there for the first time on our upcoming trip and are looking forward to it. The drinks and atmosphere look amazing!:drinking1

Have a blast!!:thumbsup2

From what I've read* the special "interactive" drinks include the Uh Oa!, Shipwreck on the Rocks, Adventurers Club Kungaloosh (classic or new recipe), HippopotoMai-Tai, Shrunken Zombie Head, and Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Rum.

For more info see these links:

* Note I've never actually had anything to drink at Trader Sam's, I only had a chance to peek inside for a short time the last time I was there. It's on my must-try list for the next trip.

Are any of the Special Interactive drinks Non-alcoholic?

Not that I found.

If you look at my trip report you'll get an idea of the inside of Trader Sam's. The food is good there and the sound effects for some of the drinks around funny but I can't imagine it would be a place someone would spend an entire evening.

.

The Uh Oa, Shipwreck on the Rocks, and Krakatoa Punch were the only ones which had interactive things going on the times I was there.

Could any of the "interactive" one be ordered "virgin?" Not really a drinker, so I have no clue what any of these drinks may or may not be.

I don't know about ordering them virgin, but there's a picture of the drink menu here, which will give you an idea of the ingredients of each one.

Don't forget, no one under 21 is allowed after 8pm.

When we were there in January 2014, we sat on the patio and had drinks and appetizers...the bbq flatbread was delicious! They had a fun duo playing music and it was all laid back and relaxing after a busy park day! The most exciting thing happened when we spotted John Mayer walking in and my daughter and daughter-in-law were able to get a picture with him! He made their trip!

Who is that? I can't say I recognize his name.
Now if you say Clint Eastwood, my ears would totally perk up! :)

I enjoyed that duo on the patio as well. But realize that if you're seated at the outdoor patio, you don't get the interactive drink experience. And there was a pretty long line to get in in the evenings. The CMs noted they're getting more popular so plan accordingly
