Trader Sams Enchanted Tiki Bar

This will be our first ever visit to Trader Sam's ... YAY!

We have a 7:45 reservation one evening (will they sit us outside automatically being so close to 8?) and thankfully I snagged a 1:10 reservation another day, but that isn't as convenient as it is our departure day.

During the Christmas Season, is the patio/outdoor seating open? Do the patio heaters keep you warm enough out there? Has anyone enjoyed outdoor seating during the winter?

We ate outside this past December, 5pm-ish so not dark out but not early in the day. We were warm enough, and we are not hardy people anymore. (We live in Phoenix.)

Just wondering if this works? I'll probably be giving up a Trader Sam's res in Dec and I'd love to coordinate, but I thought I'd heard that it doesn't necessarily go back in the pool immediately. But if there's a way to do it, I'd appreciate knowing how.

I’ve done it many many times and it’s worked about 99% of the time
Of course it’s so sad when it hasn’t worked but for the most part…

So the two parties privately decide on the exact “drop time”
Down to the minute, like example I’d say ok I’m going to cancel my reservation today at exactly 3:30pm PST

The other party is ready, just like you’d be for a 0600 dining drop.
On the actual dining page for whatever you’re trying to get, etc

The clock is watched and the Second the exact time hits, I’d hit cancel and the other refreshes and suddenly should see the exact time/date appear and grab it!

Thank you!! I'm glad to hear it works most of the time. I'd coordinated once a year or so ago and the dropped reservation didn't show up. I posted about it and heard that there had been problems at that time with dropped reservations not going back into the pool immediately so it was very hard to coordinate. I thought maybe Disney did that on purpose to discourage coordination..

I don’t think it’s Disney that would have a problem with it, I think, if anything, it’s the bots, that try to grab the reservations for all of the reservation finder apps have a problem with it but that defeats their service.

Oh, you are hardy, just not in the same way as northerners They would absolutely melt in the Phoenix heat.
