TRADER SAM TIKI MUGS-how do you know?

I saw they released new Trader Sam Tiki Mugs with a virtual queue in the morning. Are there regular releases? How do people know when they are coming?

I don't think they say a specific day in advance, but they usually announce that a new one is coming out "soon". There are groups on fb that track it and post when a new one is out.

I stumbled upon one (Hitchhiking Ghosts) by chance when we went to TS one October. I had heard one was coming out but there was no specific date.
We normally go to TS about 20 minutes before opening to get an inside table. That time I saw a couple of CMs setting up a table by the walkway, there was a line so I told my husband to stand there then I went up and asked the CMs what was up.

Last time we went to TS (Nov 2019) I did find the Hatbox Ghost mug a month after it was released by asking the server if they had any special releases left in the back. They were surprised I asked but I was even more surprised they still had it!

It was announced by Disney Parks Blog or something. There was an official Disney post that was getting shared on social media. I know I saw it reported by Disneyland News Today’s IG account.

If you follow the mug pages (FB), somebody always knows when a mug is gonna drop, the volume of said sculpt/glaze, etc. The mug community is a tight one.
