CheapMom-
I shop almost exclusively at Whole Foods and love everything I have had. Just remember that you're not going to get a lot of boxed foods (i.e. Hamburger Helper, etc) because they are all full of non-"whole foods". Also, don't go looking for brands you are familiar with for the same reason. Instead, have an idea of the type of things you are looking for and go looking for the stuff to make it. The most beneficial part of Whole Foods is that you are getting food without all the addatives, hydrogenated oils, etc that you find in a lot of the popular brands. For me, I feel like this gives me a headstart on my diet because I am already eating healthier. From there, I just read labels and look for things that keep in my desired calorie, fat and sodium amounts.
I know that I haven't suggested any specifics foods, but I hope that I have helped all the same.
Good luck!
Tia
