How? I find them to be kinda pricey. I said "like it" becasue of the prices. If it was cheaper I would LOVE it.

I'm very picky about my milk, eggs, and bread. No rgbht in my milk and always whole grains in my bread (no HFCS either!). To get that kind in the regular grocery store is almost twice as much as TJs ($3.69 versus $1.69 for milk and $3.59 verus $2.59 for bread). So I go to TJs AND the regular grocery store every week.

Other items that are cheaper at TJs:
Spices
Sauces
Dry Pasta
Baby Carrots
Cereal
Pancetta
Soups
Peanut Butter
etc

Also a lot of their foods are low in sugar and additives, which is important to me.

I would never buy all my groceries at TJs as I find their meats to be too expensive and the produce not the greatest, but for certain items they're great!

I like it - they have alot of unusual things, but some of their items are pricey.

I always buy the soups there. They're in a carton instead of a can and they're lower in sodium. The flavors are terrific: Butternut Squash, Corn with Roasted Peppers.....we just love them!

I loved it when I lived in PA, and would make the trip to Wayne from Lansdale to shop there once a month! I miss it so - they do not have one anywhere near me in FL.

I like Trader Joe's. DW and I used to love it, but then they stopped carrying several things we bought routinely. :(

Still, if I couldn't buy Trader Jose's salsa, I'd be back to making my own at home since I don't really care for any of the other brands out there (including the 'premium' mail order ones I've tried).

I just wish they'd bring back their Grade A, light amber maple syrup. I loved that stuff...

Never been in one. They don't have any around here that I'm aware of. :confused3

How can you not like $3 wine?

I agree TDCNala :wave2: !
Trader Joe's has some absolutely *great* wines at shockingly looooooow prices(not just the storied "two-buck Chuck"), we've gotten some real steals there :drinking1 .

agnes!

I love TJ! I live within 10 minutes of one, but I only go maybe twice a month or if I want to buy a certain thing. I find that I definitely can't complete an entire grocery order there, so going to TJ is always on top of going to the regular store.

I'm jealous that in some areas (CA according to my gf I think) the wine is "two buck chuck" instead of "three buck chuck." Anyway, as far as price wine definitely doesn't get cheaper than at TJ. Also, I find that vegetarian foods (soy bacon, tofu) are often better priced at TJ than at the regular supermarket. I usually also buy non-staples like cheeses, specialty bread, salsa, and prepared frozen foods and desserts. I think even on these the prices aren't that much different than the regular supermarket--e.g. for cheese & salsa. Frozen pizzas and cookies, and candy are definitely more expensive at TJ, so I rarely buy them (though I do think they're much higher quality than the regular supermarket).
