Trade TS for Counter Service?

Okay so I got the FD for sept 21-26 and decided to upgrade to the deluxe plan. I am staying at POR and I believe that Boatwrights was the only place that had TS for breakfast at that resort. I heard a couple days ago that Boatwrights would no longer serve breakfast. The question becomes, if two TS's = 1 character breakfast, does 1 TS = 2 counter services? Other than 1 day our family would like to do a character breakfast, we are planning eating breakfast at the POR property but if they don't have TS service for breakfast, isn't the upgrade to deluxe dining moot? Perhaps they are planning on opening another TS breakfast service on the resort but if they don't it seems a waste of use for the deluxe dining plan. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

two TS does not equal 1 character breakfast...MOST character meals are 1 TS...

The only meals that are not 1 TS are dinner shows, Signature restaurants and CRT and room service...

If you are on Deluxe...you get 3 credits per person X nights in your stay....so if one person staying 3 nights, you have 9 credits to use at TS OR CS

let's see... first of all, the only b'fast that is 2TS credits CRT... all other character b'fasts are only 1TS...

also, with the deluxe plan there is no TS or CS there are simply Dining Credits, to be used for CS or TS interchangably, so, even if Disney opted to do a "TS to CS swap" because you are on the Deluxe DDP, you would not be eligible to swap...

plus, just because your resort doesn't offer sit-down b'fast, upgrading to the Deluxe DDP is not moot if you plan to either a) eat three meals per day or b) eat a number of 2TS credit meals during your stay...

we enjoyed all the dinner shows, CRT, Cali Grill and more when we upgraded our Free DDP to Deluxe DDP... but one thing to be cautioned: the gratuities on those more expensive meals ADD UP QUICKLY! we spent at least $100/day in tips!

last but not least, i highly doubt that they will be opening a sit-down b'fast restaurant at POR any time soon...

We were on the DxDDP last Sept at PORS. At that time Disney was offering a swap of 1 TS=1 CS plus two snacks or a mesh tote bag. We did eat lunch at the resort CS one day and because we were on the DxDDP did not think we were eligible for the swap. However, when we checked out the CM handed me two snack credits each, to go with our CS meals. I think she may have been wrong though, because on the DxDDP the credits are not designated as CS or TS, they are simply credits that can be used for either CS or TS meals equally.

Deluxe dining credits can be used for either TS or CS. One credit will equal one CS meal. You cannot get two CS meals for one credit.

You do not have TS or CS credits on the Deluxe plan. You have meal credits that can be used at either CS or TS restaurants. You can enjoy a great CS breakfast at POR. If you want a TS meal just make a reservation at another resort or inside a park.
