Trade in Hopper pass for AP?

Probably a stupid question... but do the passes that you got from Connections and the ones you purchased from Disney look alike?
And what is the deal with the date on the back? What date is on the passes from Connections?

We have always purchased AP's in the past (got the voucher that we turned in, etc.) but, somehow, we got out of sync with the rest of our family and we need to wait until our 2003 trip to get AP's when the rest of our group does... which leaves us with buying some sort of hopper tickets this year...

so do you get an actual TICKET from Connections or is it a voucher that you turn in... and what about The Disney Store ticket or voucher?

The hoppers we got from Connections looked just like the ones from the parks. I don't remember whether there was a date on the back of them or not. The magnetic stripe tells how much you paid for it and I guess what day it was sold on. I hope this helps.

Also for upgrading I guess it totally depends on what CM you get what kind of deal you can get.

The 7-day hopper plus I ordered from Connections looked just like the 5-day hoppers I ordered from Disney. I had ordered a 7-day hopper for myself back in May, and used it in June. I cannot remember the date on the back, but I do remember there being something on the back of that pass to the affect of "value of $325". I do not remember there being a date on it. The 7-day hopper I ordered from Connections on Sept. 25 had a date of Sept. 15 on the back. There was nothing about the "value" mentioned on this hopper. The 5-day hoppers I purchased through Disney also had a Sept. date on them(the date I ordered them), even though I did not use them until Oct. On this last trip, I had purchased an AP "voucher" at the Disney Store(neon green thing)that had to be converted to an Annual pass at guest services. We stood in line for 30 minutes to do this at MK on a Saturday while the rest of our party went into the park. I just looked on the back of the AP, and luckily the CM put the date we activated as the anniversary, and not the date of purchase(which would have been Sept.)
