trade app for entree?

My 3 kids and I are vegetarian (Dad is not) and I was looking over some menues and saw lots of apps the kids might like. Can they trade an entree for an appetizer at a TS restaurant?

I used the DP last trip but have a 12 year old "adult" now and am trying to decide if it is worth the expense. We love the buffet/character meals and plan to do several of these!!

While nobody has reported actually doing this, it was posted here earlier this year that appetizer-for-entree IS an authorized swap - but you might find that a lot of this would tend to make the Dining Plan not a good value for you.
