Tracking points online

I recently was on the phone with MS booking a ressie and on the DVC members site all at the same time. I refreshed the vacation page and my new ressie showed up with a ridiculous number of points next to it but after about 1 minute it corrected itself to the actual points. I let MS know as I was still on the phone with them and she just blew it off. I wonder if this is something that is a problem and on some ressies it is not correcting itself? I know with some AS-400 windows based systems if you get out of a screen wrong it kind of locks the info you had in and needs some working on to correct. I guess no matter what, you always need to check that all the info jives wether you are taking a trip now or just verifying older info.

Diane, are you secretly the supervisor? LOL! Just kidding, but the supervisor called back and said I was getting developer points, you're good! Anyway, I guess this is all over and done and I have learned my lesson, hopefully it will help other people avoid a similar situation.

brasey, after hearing what you said I would say that there is a computer issue. It looks like some people are being charged too many points. In some cases, like yours it looks like it is automatically correcting itself. In other cases I would say it isn't. This is all very odd.

So 108 developer points were just put in my current use year!!!! We are going to OKW for 2 weeks this summer. Since our points are very slim right now (due to booking Med. cruise) we had debated booking a 1 bedroom for this trip with the 5 of us but eventually settled on a 2 bedroom. This meant that we had to pay some nights cash. Now I was just able to book 3 more nights on points with these developer points!!! At $375/night for the 2 bdr. we just saved $1,125!!! I am extatic!!! I am so glad this all worked out, always remember to monitor your points!

Just one more reason to not take it for granted that computers are better than an actual person. At least with the website you can check 24/7.

Yes, it certainly does sound like someone got a free VB vacation out of this! I asked the supervisor if that had been figured out and he said, "yes, that issue has been resolved." So I asked him if someone did in fact go on this mysterious Vero Beach trip and he just kept saying "the issue has been resolved." I couldn't get anything out of him! If someone did stay on my points I want to know how it happened so it can't happen again, although now I have turned into a point checking freak so the chances of this happening again are slim!
