Does anyone keep a log to track your weightloss and other goals?

What kind of information to you track? I can see tracking weight every week, but what about your size. Don't inches count more at the beginning rather than your overall weight? If so, would you measure your hips, waist, thighs and arms?

Thanks for you patience with my newbie questions.

Basically, I think that anything you want to track is fair game. All info could be useful as you get into your journey for being healthier and if necessary working on tweeking sizes and weight.

FYI, We have a journal thread at the top of the WISH as a sub-forum.

I track my weight and inches. I do inches monthly. I also go by my lab work yearly. Watching my cholesterol fall has been really motivating.

As you can see from my signature I track both weight loss & size. I also track measurements (waist, hips, arm, thigh, chest, bust). I also have my kids take a photo of me every other month. It is amazing the difference you can see in yourself in a photo compared to just looking in the mirror.

I think "size" or measurements are the greatest indicator of how you are doing. But in the end everyone wants to know "how much weight have you lost"

If you have Excel on your computer, there's a free template you can download Fitness Chart for Women that has space to put in all the weight, height, measurements, etc. It figures your BMI and makes some little charts for you, too.
