so for next flight to Orlando we're trying to figure out whether or not it's better to fly out of Boston, Ewr, ABE or Philly.

Is there a good website that will allow me to compare which flight routes are less likely to have delays and nonsense compared to others?

We just started traveling between Boston and EWR are heavily and it seems that this particular flight path has delays nearly 100% of the time. Would like to pick better for Orlando

Look at your Vacation travel in a different way.

( A ) From Where to Orlando.

( B ) When & what Time & Which Airline ?

( C ) Direct or Indirect ?

( D ) Then Return Times Etc.

( E ) COST ?

..............

Now work out which of the above works for you.

My idea would be ( A ) nearest airport to Home > to Orlando

( C ) DIRECT

THEN ( E ) + ( B + D )

Small correction; there are direct flights (which have stops) and nonstop flights, which do not, not direct and indirect flights.

If you're going to consider ABE, I'd also consider TTN (on Frontier).

I live closest to ABE, of all your choices, but I hesitate to use that for a couple reasons. One being that the only airline with nonstop service to the Orlando area is Allegiant. Problem with them is they only have one or two flights a day, so if there's a cancellation, you're stuck with very few options. Other is they fly into Sanford (SFB)...smaller airport, but no Magic Express and a longer drive to Disney.

Of course, Frontier that I mentioned above also only has 1 or two flights a day to MCO, so there could be the same issue there with cancellations.

I agree with the above that it probably makes sense to get a nonstop nearest your home. Why drive for hours on both ends if you don't have to.

On flight reliability, my experience has been that flights early in the day are generally pretty good since the plane you're getting on has likely been there from the night before. I love taking the 6 AM or 7 AM out of Philly, since I can much better predict the time it will take me to get to the airport and I can't remember being delayed.
