Tracfone vs. Virgin

Hi all,
Let me start by saying I have been all over the many threads on using
Tracfone/Virgin etc... and trying to absorb all the details...

Hopefully, I can ask here and not start any sort of debate.. but I would
really like to know this :

Putting aside the issue of coverage, has anyone actually compared the cost
of using Tracfone vs. Virgin Mobile... meaning just with the cost issue. If the Tracfone user and the Virgin Mobile user were using same about of minutes
which operator would be cheaper....

Hope someone out there understands this question. tia.

Virgin Mobile, at the cheapest, costs $15 to top up every three months using a credit card. So for $60 plus the cost of phone you can have service for a year. The cost of the minutes depends on the plan you choose. I do the $.25 a minute for the first 10 minutes each day, then $.10 a minute after that.

It looks with tracfone it's $99.99 for one year of service.
